Sometimes jobs differ from conception to finished product. This 2′ x 4′ sidewalk a-frame was produced for a local artist’s studio / farmers market in nearby Kennedy Heights. The challenge was that the middle area listing the hours will change on a semi-regular basis.

The original plan had been to do a die-cut digital print logo on top (because of the drop shadow), with two lower panels in vinyl lettering on alumacore. In the end it seemed easiest to do a single digital print for the whole sign; in the future we will supply aumacore panels which can be affixed to the sign via velcro tape which will cover the original hours. It’s easy to overthink a problem up front, only to discover later that a ‘gordian knot‘ solution exists.
